Acrylic Process Aids
Specialized processing techniques employed by our partner, Shandong RIKE Chemical, allow for extremely consistent processing and industry leading ultra-high molecular weight plastic processing aids, PVC process aids, acrylic processing aids, and more. This combination has allowed Performance Additives to introduce substantial savings for our foam PVC customers by way of product usage reduction. We also offer traditional acrylic and plastic process aids to complement the UHMW, LMW, and MMW products.
The product line categories are:
- LMW: These lower molecular weight process aids primarily provide metal release and are used in all PVC manufacturing processes for clear and opaque products. Grades with FDA approval are also available.
- MMW: These process aids can aid in fusion, metal release and melt strength. They are available in varying molecular weight ranges. Can be used in all PVC manufacturing processes for clear and opaque products. Grades with FDA approval are also available.
- UHMW: Ultra high molecular weight process aid products that provide excellent melt strength as well as significant usage reductions. These are products are targeted for cellular PVC applications.
Styrenic Based Process Aids
Styrene based processing aid products consisting of SAN, MMA-SAN, ASA etc. These products serve multiple end functions including but not limited to: Weatherable impact modifiers, SAN processing aids, foam modifiers, etc. With very limited domestic options for these materials in the USA, Performance Additives helps open the door to access a ready global supply with Styrene based process aids.
